I meant to post this photo when I took it, walking over the Williamsburg Bridge with the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges in the distance, but Tumblr  was down.  So here it is, a couple of days later.

Beautiful evening celebrating Chase & Alejandro’s 30th year (and recalling the pie plate fiasco at Alejandro’s 18th birthday!). And Paloma shone through it all of course.

Gray’s Papaya hot dogs in NYC- can’t beat ‘em. Some people came in and didn’t understand the beautiful simplicity- they asked what the hot dogs came with, and the man said “your choice: stewed onions, sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup…” - the customer said “yeah, all of it.” An example of the notion that if it doesn’t cost extra, pile it all on! Where does this crazy idea come from? With hot dogs as with most foods, avoid the glop factor!
